CALL TO ORDER
At 8:12 a.m., Carol Atwood called the meeting to order at 10300 Torre Avenue, Conference
Room C&D, Cupertino.

OLD BUSINESS
A.
We Value Youth Proposal
Carol Atwood distributed a proposal to the committee, which would involve the
entire community (school district, YMCA, business, service clubs) in partnership
with the City. Several committee members expressed concern that "We Value
Youth" was already underway with the Teen Commission and the Chamber and that
expanding to other organizations was not considered necessary at this time.
B.
Key Development Activity
Ciddy Wordell updated the committee on current development activity in the city.
She stated that the Town Center project is moving forward with a scaled down
proposal.

NEW BUSINESS
A.
Sales Tax Retention Strategy
Carol Atwood reviewed several strategies from the MBIA sales tax presentation.
She suggested that the committee visit each of the top ten sales tax producers and
host a luncheon or breakfast. The committee agreed to implement the suggestion and
a proposal identifying the specifics will be provided at the next meeting.
