Subject: 10270 N. Portal Ave
Tiffany,
A couple of weeks back I received a call from 1eff Oliver at 10270 N Portal Ave. He was trying to get a tree in his back
yard identified. I was scheduled for a site visit near his home, so I stopped by as a courtesy. The tree in his back yard is a
Deodar Cedar(Cedrus deodaraJ It clearly has some structural defects that have lead to multiple failures. When I stopped
by there was a broken 6" diameter limb hanging over his neighbor's property, and a sheer crack in a 8-10" limb that will
likely fail as it continues to grow, or in a wind storm. I did not do a full evaluation of the tree, but it may be a candidate
for replacement. He called me yesterday and had indicated he was working with you, and hoped I could share my
observations with you.
