A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO AWARD A
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE STEVENS CANYON ROAD STREET
WIDENING, PROJECT 98-120
WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino has published a Notice to Contractors inviting
proposals for the Stevens Canyon Road Street Widening, Project 98-120; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening has been scheduled for October 30, 2001; and
WHEREAS, award of the contract is time-sensitive due to the need to proceed with the
project prior to the onset of heavy rains.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cupertino
hereby authorizes the Director of Public Works to award said contract in an amount not to
exceed $950,000.00 and authorize a 10% contingency on behalf of the City of Cupertino.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Cupertino this 15th day of October, 2001, by the following vote:
