Wolfe Road Architectural and site approval for a new exterior entrance and minor exterior changes for a new restaurant at Vallco Fashion Park. Design Review Committee decision final unless appealed. Staff Presentation: Peter Gilli gave a brief overview of the project regarding the new exterior entrance and minor exterior changes for the new restaurant at Vallco Fashion Park.. Staffis comfortable with approving the new exterior entrance and some of the exterior changes. Discussion followed regarding the window signage and the awnings. Staff recommends approval of the project with the modification to a condition that required enhanced pedestrian pathways and the revisions to the awnings. Chairperson Corr suggested that the bay window should be considered outside of this application request. Commissioner Chen moved to approve 27-ASA-00 based on the model resolution, with the modified pathway condition. (Oak Valley) Design Review Committee decision final unless appealed Staff Presentation: Ciddy Wordell gave a brief history of the Oak Valley development project and the standard conditions regarding these properties. Larry Cannon, architectural consultant, had some comments regarding the detail at the top of the columns in the front elevation. Commissioner Chen moved to approve 01-ASA-01 as amended with the conditions proposed in the model resolution and as amended by the Design Review Committee related to the color of the siding. (Oak Valley) Design Review Committee decision final unless appealed Staff Presentation: Ciddy Wordell stated that staff has come up a with a solution for the additional floor area directly related to the loggia in the back of the property. This had exceeded the maximum floor area. Larry Cannon, architectural consultant, had stated that the front needed more substantial detail elements. The applicant has responded that he will comply with Mr. Cannon's suggestions. Staff recommends approval based on the following amendments: Condition 2: The loggia area shall be modified as shown in Exhibit A, so that the maximum house size will not be exceeded. Condition 3: The second story deck shall be modified to conform to the accessory structure ordinance and moving the entire house one foot away from the front setback line. Condition 4: Referring to the architectural details as recommended by Larry Cannon. Commissioner Chen moved to approve 02-ASA-01 as amended. (Oak Valley) - Design Review Committee decisionfinal unless appealed Staff Presentation: Ciddy Wordell stated that the first issue for this project is the LRV of the garage door color. The second issue is that the right elevation needs to be broken up. Larry Cannon's suggestion to this is to add a trellis or some wood moulding. The applicant has requested a change in the garage door from a single door facade to a double door. The applicant will agree to add a trellis to the right elevation and to also add two additional windows. Staff recommends approval of the project with the proposed change to the garage door color and design as shown in Exhibit A. Commissioner Chen moved to approve 03-ASA-01 as amended as described above. (Oak Valley) Design Review Committee decision final unless appealed Staff Presentation: Ciddy Wordell suggested that on the site plan the motor court appears to be projecting slightly into the linear park and should be pulled back. Otherwise, staff has no further comments. The applicant will reduce the size of the rear columns, and the motor court wall will be set back 20 feet from the linear park. Commissioner Chen moved to approve 04-ASA-01 as amended as described above.
