Chapter 19.164 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative approval of minor changes in a project. The Director reports the decision to the City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow an appeal of the decision within fourteen calendar days. DISCUSSION Proposed Modifications The applicant, Gabriella Barr of FMHC, representing Sprint, proposes to modify an existing personal wireless service facility mounted on an existing PG&E lattice tower at the Monte Vista Substation off California Oak Way. DIR-2014-26 10110 California Oak Way August 13,2014 The proposed modifications include the following: • Replace two panel antennas with two new ones (one per sector); • Make modifications to the base equipment station; and • Add two new RRU's (remote radio units; one per sector) Attachment A depicts how the antenna modifications will appear. The surrounding land uses around the project site are single-family residential uses to the east, horse stable and residential land uses to the south, electrical substation to the west and north. ACTION In accordance with Cupertino Municipal Code Section 19.164, the Director of Community Development deems the modification minor and approves the modification described in the plan set titled: "2.5 EQUIPMENT DEPLOYMENT/ UPPER MONTE VISTA SUBSTATION/SF33XC554/10110 CALIFORNIA OAK WAY/CUPERTINO, CA 95014 " prepared by Camp + Associates, and consisting of 12 sheets labeled T-1,N-1, N-2, A-1, A-1.1, A-2, A-2.1, A-3 to A-5, E-1 to E-3 last dated 07/14/14, except as may be modified by the conditions enumerated below. This approval is effective August 13, 2014. The fourteen calendar day appeal period will expire on August 28, 2014.
