. SUBJECT AND ISSUE
Approve fee waiver request from the League of Women Voters of Cupertino-Sunnyvale of
approximately $300.00 in facility use fees for the use of Cupertino Community Hall for the 15~'
Congressional District Candidates and Judges Forum on October 13, 2008- from 6:00 p.m. until
9:30 p.m.
BACKGROUND
The League of Women Voters Cupertino-Sunnyvale is a nonprofit, nonpartisan political
_ organization. Pursuant to the City of Cupertino's facility use policy, adopted by the City Council, a
nonprofit organization providing a service to the community shall receive a waiver of fees relative
to their event as has been done in previous years.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that City Council waive the room rental fees in the approximate amount of
$300.00.

Hello,
~ am sorry for the confusion. I just got offthe phone with Marilyn Howard. I was
thinking about a different forum when I sent the letter requesting the waiver for the use of
the Cupertino Community Hall.
We are having the 1S'" Congressional candidates as well as the Judges forum on Oct 13'
2008 from 7-9pm and would like permission to use the Cupertino Community HaI! from
6 tiI 9:30pm. We would greatly appreciate if you. would waive the fee.
