A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THIS CITY OF MU LRTINO OFFICIALLY
SWPORTING THE PROPOSED TRAI1vING 711 FIRE TECHNIQUES AND FIRE
ALTIINISTR3 TION AT SAN JOSE JUNIOR COLLEGE AND SAN JOSE STATE COLLEGE
WHEREAS, the Peninsula Fire Chiefs' Association has gone on
record supporting fire training instruction in fire techniques and
fire administration at San Jose Junior College and San Jose State
College; and
WHEREAS, this type of administration is now being given at the
college or junior college level in other parts of the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, this type of training will benefit the fire service
In the City;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEI) by the Council of the City of
Cupertino that this city by adopt'Lon of this resolution officially
supports the proposed training in fire techniques and fire admin-
istr ?tion at San Jose Junior College and San Jose State College;
and further, that all citizens of this City make every effort to
keep themselves informed as this training in fire techniques and
administration progresses in these college levels within the area
served by the Peninsula Division.
That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to mail a certified
copy of this Resolution to the League of California Cities, Penin-
sula Division.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
by the City Council of the City of Cupertino at its meeting held on
the 19th day of August, 1957, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Meyerholz, Nathanson, Saich, Wilson
