TION THEREOF AND APPROVING `1 BEI CIRCULATION OF THE PETITION
WHEREAS, on January 30, 1956 , there was filed with the City
Clerk of the Citg• of Cupertino a copy of Notice of Intention to
Circulate Petition Relatinp
g e to Annexation of Certain Territory
to the City of Cupertino under the Annexation pct of 1913 per -
tainino to territory designated as "QUITO 210. 1 -C" accompanied
by a written statement containin& reasons for the petition and
on February 13, 1956, filed an affidavit of publication of said
notice on February 9, 1956, in the San Jose News; and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the
legislative body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt
of the notice and auprovin,g the circulation of the petition;

City of Cupertino:
SEC`. ION 1. That the rec €iipt of the notice, statement and
affidavit aforesaid be and the same hereby is acknowledged, and
that approval be and hereby i9 given for the circulation of the
petition for annexation of that certain territory desiGnated as
"t4UI`.G NO. 1 -C" twenty -one days after the publication of said
notice and statement.
S!;CTTON 2. The City Clark shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted
by the City Council of the City of Cupertino at its meeting held
on the 14th day of February, 1956, by the following vote
