CC Resolution No. 11RESOLUTIOJ NO. 11 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO CONSLVTIN�'x TO THE C014M NCEMEN3' OF ANNEXATION PROCEE FOR THE MNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CUPIMTINO OF CE RTAIN INHABITED AND UNINCORPORATED TJ!,R1' ;,ITORY IN THE COUNTY OV SANTA CLARA. STATE OF CALIFORNIA, CONTIGUOUS T THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DESIGNATED AS "QUITO Nip. 1 -C" 14HEEREAS, on January 30, 1956, a petition in the files of the City Clerk of the City of Cupertino was presented to the City Council of the City of Cupertino requesting the (buadl' to give its consent to the commencement of annexation proceedings in connection with that certain inhabited territory therein referred to and generally described, which is contiguous to the City of Cupertino; and WHEREAS, said petition was referred to the Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino for investigation, report and recommenda- tion; and 1r IMIS'AS, the planning Commission rendered its report and recommendation to the Comedl on the 30th day of January, 1956, favoring the commencement of annexation proceedings; and WHEREAS, the County Soundazy Commission of Santa Clara County has heretofore approved the proposed boundary of said Quito No. 1 -C as to definiteness and certainty; and WHEREAS$ it is the desire of the City Council to €;ive its consent to the commencement of such annexation proceedings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cupertino: SECTION 1. That consent be and hereby is granted for the commencement of annexation proceedings in connection with said inhabited territory in accordance with the Annexation Act of 1913 provided the petition for annexation contains a request that the r I- 0 question to be submitted to the; electors residing in the territory proposed to be annexed shall be: whether the territory shall be annexed and the property in the territory subjected to taxation after annexation equally with property within the City of Cupertino. SECTTUN 2. That said unincorporated territory be and hereby .4 is designated as the Quito JTo. 1-C is bounded generally as follows: Road North of Stevens Creek,,, of V- Road., south of Lj- Camino Real, east of Blaney Avenue. . a jCa T U 1% 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
