of oa~ce a year, cor~sezvation literature. The distribution will
be aoocaq~lished by the meter readers deliverirg consarvation
literature to the indiVidual custcmers. (Hegin S~mm~er 1986)

, The Cupertino Sccr~e, Iric. , a~n-proEit cozporation distributes
'"Iha Npettir~o Scene," a mmthly publication to residents arid
businesses within the City of CUpertino to provide inforniation of
general interest. During the 1976-77 dzrught, infoztnation was
presented in the c~eztino Scer~e relatinq to water consezvation.
A similar pmgram a~uld ba re-instated presentirr3 water
oonservation irtformatioa~ az~d information on Federal and State
laws and programs.
Wdter Waste Programs
2he Gupertino Municipal Water Utility will encourage the use of water in
its service area thrixx~ voluntaxy water canservation programs.
Durirg tha 1976-77 dz~o~x3ht, the Qipertino Municipal Water Utility in
cooperatia~ with the Santa Clara Valley water District azxi other
surro~u~ding water agencies acornq~lished water waste reductions that are
still presently bei~ practiced.
Rhe meter readets will oontirnie to notiEy custaners of water waste being
abserved thirough the use of door)mob hangers.
