i WHEREAS, the planned Technology Center of Silicon Valley promises
to be an international celebration of sclence; and
WHERIiAS, the Center will represent a special culturai and educalional
' resource, cerlain to draw hundreds of thousands of families, and particularly
, schuol chlldren, to enjoy whLle Learning, and
WHIREAS, [he City uf hiounc:ain View has offered to Che Technology Center
an outstanding lucation, central Co the entire Bay Area region, and has also
' offered an attractive package of financial incentives; and
WNEREAS, the "Pechnology CenCer Board has [entatively selected Moun[ain
View's Slwreline siLe over downtown San Jose, as it choice for Che Center,
