INITIATINC PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNBXATION OF THE ISLAND
DESIGNATED "COLIJMBUS/VAI 80-36", APPROXIMATELY 19.10
GROSS ACRES; LOCATED ON COL[JMBUS AVENUE AND VAI AVENUE

II WHFREAS, pursuant to Section 35100 of [he htunicipal Organization Ac[ of 1977
(rfORGA), proceedings for an island annexation may be initiated by cesolutian
of the legislative 6ody of any affected city of any affec[ed county; and
' IJFIERFJIS, said terri[ory ts less than 100 acres and is sutrounded
, by the City of C~pereino (Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "8"); aad
, WHEREAS, said territory is receiving Uenefits from the City of Cupertino
and will benefit further trom annexation; and
iJHEREAS, "Columbus/Vai 80-36" is inhabited and developed
and is not prime agricul[ural land;
WIIERF,AS, tfie CityCouncil of the Ciey of Cupertino has ~pproved a Master
Plan for Servicea for island areas and a S1[e Specific Service Plan for
"ColumbuslVa3 80-36" ; and
WIIEREAS, p~~blic hearings have been conducted by the City af Cupertino and
the terri[ory has been prezoned;
