I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TNE CITY OP CUPERTINO
INITIATINC PROCEEDINGS FOR Tf1E ANNEXATION OF TNE ISLAND
DESICNATED " CAROLYN CARDEN SO-33", APPROXIMATELY 25.43
ACRES: GENERALLY LOCATED IN THE SOUTHwEST QUADRANT OF
~ STEVENS CREEK B011LEVARD AND FOOTfIILL BOULEVARD AND NORTH
~ ERLY OF STEVENS CREEK BOULEVARD BETkEEN CALIFORNIA OAK
kAY AND FOOTHILL BOULEVARD
kHERF.AS, pursuan[ to Section 35I00 of the Municipal Organization Aci of
, 1977 (MORGA), proceedings for an island annexation may be inltiated by resolu-
tion of the Legislative body of any affected city of any affected county; and
kHEREAS, said territory is less than l00 acres and is substantially sur-
rounded by the City of Cupertino (Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "8"); and
I:HEREAS, said [erritory is receiving benefits from the City of Cupertino
and will benefi[ further from annexation; and
I:HEREAS, Carolyn Garden is inhabited and developing and is not prime
agricultural land;
kNEREAS, the Ci[y Council of the City of Cuper[!no has approved a Master
Plan for services for island areas and a Site Specific Service Plan for
Carolyn Garden SO-33; and
[:HEREAS, public hearings have been conduc[ed by the City oF Cupertino and
the territory has been prezoned;
NOk THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED [ha[ the City Council of the Ci[y of Cupertino
hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of the area designated "Carolyn
Carden 80-33"; and reques[s that said proceedings be conducted pursuant to
Section 35110 of MORGA.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Cupertino this 29 day of Julv , 1980 by the following vote:
