CC Resolution No. 5358 ~ ~ RESOLUTION N0. 5358 A RESOLUTION OF TNE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO INITIATING PROCEEDINGS' FOR THE ANNEXATION OF THE ISLAND . DESIGNATED "BOLLINGER/BLANEY 80-29", APPROXIMATELY 32 ACRES; GENERALLY LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST QUADRANT OF SOUTH BLANEY AVENUE AND BOLLINGER ROAD WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 35100 of the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 (MORGA), proceedings for an island annexation may be initiated by resolu- tion of the legislative body of any affected city of any affected county; and WNEREAS, said territory is less than 100 acres and is aubstantially sur- rounded by the City of Cupertino (Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B"); and I~', WHEREAS, said [erritory is receiving benefits from the City of Cupertino ' and will benefit further from annexation; and WFiEREAS, the territory is inhabited and developed and !s not prime agricultural land; and i WHEREAS, [he City Council of the City of Cuper[ino has approved a Master Plan for Services for island areas and a Site Speclfic Service Plan for "Bollinger/Blaney 80-29"; and WHEREAS, public hearinga have been conducted by the City of Cupertino and the territory has been prezoned; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED tha[ the City Council of the City of Cupertino hereby initiates proceedings Eor [he annexation of the area desig- nated "Sollinger/Blaney 80-29" and requesta that said proceedings be conducted purauant to Section 35110 of MORGA.
