CC Resolution No. 5357 ~ ~ RESOLUTION NO. 5357 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO • INITIATINC PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF THE ISLAND DESIGNATED "POPPY DRIVE 80-27", APPROXIMATELY 3.0 ACRES; " GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE NORTti AND SOUTH SIDE OF POPPY • DRIVE WESTERLY OF FOOTHILL BOULEVARD ' W1iEREAS, pursuant to Section 35100 of the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 (MORCA), proceedings for an island annexation may be initiated by resolu- tion of the legislative body of any affected city of any affected county; and , WHEREAS, said territory is less than 100 acres and is substantially sur- rounded by the City of Cupertino (Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B"); and . WHEREAS, said territory is receiving benefite from the City of Cupertino ' and will benefit further from annexation; and WHEREAS, the territory is uninhabited and developing and is no[ prlme agricultural land; and ' WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cupertino has approved a Master Plan for Services for island areas and a Si[e Specific Service Plan for "Poppy Drive 80-27"; and WHEREAS, public hearings have been conducted by the City of Cupertino and the territory has been prezoned; j NOW, TNEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of I Cupertino hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of the area desig- ;i nated "Poppy Drive 80-27" and requesta that said proceedinge be conducted i, pursuant to Section 35110 of MORGA.
