A RESOLUTION OF TtiE CITY COUNCIL QF Tf1E CITY OF CUPF.RTINO
INITIATING PROCEGDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TH~ ISLAND
DESIGNATED "HUNTER HILL/CAROLYPI CARDEN 8~-25", APPROX-
IMATELY 28.5 ACRES; GENERALLY LOCATED IN THE SOUTHiJEST

I WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 35100 of the Ptunicipal Organization Act of
, 1977 (MORGA), proceedings for an island annexa[ion may be initiated by resolu-
[ion of the legislative body of any affected city of any affected county; and
, WHEREAS, said territory is less than 100 acres and is substantially sur-
, rounded by the Ci[y of Cupertino (Exhibit "A" and Exhibi[ "B"); and
' WHEREAS, said territory is receiving benefits from the City of Cupertino
I and will benefit further from annexation; and
' WHEREAS, Carolyn ''arden is inhabi[ed and developing and is not prime
agricultural land; and Hunter Hill is uninhabited and not prime agricultural land;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cupertino has approved a Master
' Plan for services for lsland areas and a Site Specific Servlce Plan for Hunter
Hill/Carolyn Garden 80-25"; and
WHEREAS, public hearings have been conducted by [he City of Cupertino and
the [erritory has been prezoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED [hat the City Council of the City of Cupertino
hereby initiates proceedings Eor [he annexation of [he area designated Hunter Hill/
Carolyn Carden 80-25"; and requests that said proceedings be conducted pursuant
to Section 35110 oE MORGA.
