RESOLUTION N0. 5301
A RESOLUTIOti OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TAE CITY OF CUPERTINO
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR TEiE ANNEXATION OF THE ISLAND
DESIGNATED "INSPIRATION HEIGHTS SO-6(a)", APPROXIMATELY
2.23 ACRES; GENERALLY LOCATED NORTH OF ALCALDE ROAD Ai1D
WEST OF STEVE.^IS CANYON ROAD
WEIEREAS, pursuant [o Section 35100 of the Municipal Organization Act of
1977 (MORGA), proceedings for an island annexation may be initiated by resolu-
tion of the legislative body of any affected city of any affected county; and
WHEREAS, said territory is less [han 100 acres and is substantially sur-
rounded by the City of Cupertino (Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B"); and
'.dHEREAS, said territory is receiving benefi[s from the City of Cupertino
and will benefit further from annexation; and
~dHEREr1S, the territory is inhabited and developing and is not prime
agricultural land; and
~dHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cupertino has approved a Master
Plan for Services for island areas and a Site Specific Service Plan for "In-
spiration Fleights 80-6(a)"; and
WHEREAS, public hearings have been conducted by the City of Cupertino
and the territory has been prezoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVGD that the City Council of the Ci[y of Cuper-
tino hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of the area designated
"Inspira[ion Heights 80-6(a)" and requests that said proceedings be conducted
pursuant [o Section 35110 of MORGA.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
