RESOLUTION N0. 4550
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
DECLARING ITS INTENT TO MAKE APPLICABLE THE PROVISIONS OF
THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE TO PRIVATE ROADS WITHIN
NORTHPOINT SUBDIVISION, TRACTS NUMBERED 5070 AND 5071;
LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF
HOMESTEAD ROAD AND BLANEY AVENUE; FIXING TIME AND PLACE
FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICE THEREOF
WHEREAS, Northpoint Subdivision, Tracts numbered 5070 and 5071, located
at the southwest corner of the intersection of Homestead Road and Blaney Avenue
contains privately owned and maintained roads within the City of Cupertino that
are not generally held open for use of the public for purposes of vehicular
travel, but, by reason of their proximity to, or connection with highways, the
interests of any residents residing along such roads and the motoring public
will best be served by application of the provisions of the California Vehicle
Code to such roads; and
WHEREAS, there was filed with the City of Cupertino a petition requesting
such application by a majority of the owners of such privately owned and main-
tained roads;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cuper-
tino declares its intention to make application of the provisions of the California
Vehicle Code as heretofore described;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
1. That the 3rd day of October, 1977, at 7:30 p. m., in the Council
Chamber, City Hall, 10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, California, is the time and
place fixed for hearing on the above intention;
2. That the aforesaid date is not less than ten (10) days from passage
of this resolution as required by law;
3. That the City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this resolution
to be published in the Cupertino Courier, the official newspaper of the City,
for at least two (2) successive weeks prior to the hearing, and shall cause
certified copies to be posted along the streets affected at least ten (10)
days before the date of the hearing and no more than 300 feet apart with a
minimum of three (3) being posted.

Cupertino this 7th day of September , 1977, by the following vote:
