CC Resolution No. 4525 RESOLUTION N0. 4525 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DECLARING FY 77-78 TO BE BURGLARY PREVENTION YEAR AND PLEDGING FULL SUPPORT AND COOPERATION TO THE REGIONAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING BOARD OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY IN THEIR BURGLARY PREVENTION EFFORTS WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino is a member of the Regional Criminal Justice Planning Board of Santa Clara County; and WHEREAS, the Regional Criminal Justice Planning Board has declared the FY 77-78 to be "Burglary Prevention Year" for the entire County of Santa Clara and encouraged all its members to do likewise; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cupertino recognizes the crime of burglary to be a crime which affects all residents of the City regardless of their age, sex, social, economic or racial background; and WHEREAS, the primary means of controlling burglary is to obtain the cooperation and involvement of the citizenry in burglary prevention measures; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cupertino does resolve as follows: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Cupertino hereby declares FY 77-78 to be "Burglary Prevention Year" in the City of Cupertino. Section 2. The City Council of the City of Cupertino hereby pledges its full support and cooperation with the Regional Criminal Justice Planning Board in its efforts to prevent burglary throughout the County of Santa Clara. Section 3. The City Council of the City of Cupertino encourages all its citizens to similarly support and cooperate with the City Council and the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office in their burglary prevention efforts.
