A RESOLUTIOr1 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OE CUP~RTINO
APPROVING COMPENSATION CHANGES rOR EPiPLOYEES IN THE MIS-
CELLANEOU5 EMPLOYEES AND PUBLIC WORK UNITS
WHEREAS, Plemorandums of Understanding in effect between the City and
representatives of employees in the miscellaneous employees unit and, ~
public works unit specify the procedures to be followed in salary and
other compensation increases to be effective July l, 1977; and
[~EiEREAS, these procuedures have been followed by representatives of
concerned parties, and agreement reached upon increases in wage rates and
medical insurance premium payments within the limits specified in the
AZemorandums; and
GIHEREAS, representatives of the miscellaneous employees unit and
public works unit and the City have submitted to the City Council written
statements of their agreements concerning compensation increases to be
effective July l, 1977 and continuing through June 30, 1978, shocm as
attachements "A" and "B" to this resolution and incorporated herein by
this reference;
NOti~1, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Cupertino that
1. The compensation changes for employees.and positions of the
miscellaneous employees unit, as set forth in attachment "A"
be approved and implementedi
2. The compensation changes for employees and positions of the
public works unit, as set forth in attachment "B", be
approved and implemented.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Cupertino this 18th day of May , 1977, by the following

Memorandum of Agreement~
Between
EITY OF CUPERTINO•

CUPERTINO EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION~
SECOND YEAR COMPENSATION CHANGES
It is hereby agreed between the designated representatives of the City of
Cupertino and the Cupertino Employees Association that compensation changes
be made for employees and positions of the Miscellaneous Employees Unit in
accordance with Sections 1.2 and 3.0 of the Memorandum of Understanding in
effect between these parties as follows:
l. Wage rates for each classification shall be increased
six and three tenths percent (6.3%) effective July 1,
1977 through June 30, 1978.
2. City shall contribute monthly towards the medical and
hospital insurance plan premium of each eligible and
enrolled employee a maximum amount of $75.00 in accord
with Section 3.0 provisions.
It is further agreed that these changes constitute the full and complete
compensation modifications necessary under the Memorandum of Understanding
for the Second Year term of July 1, 1977 through June 30, 1978 and that all
other terms and conditions between the parties remain unchanged.

Memorandum of Agreement
Between
CITY OF CUPERTINO
and
OPERATING ENGINEERS LOCAL UNION N0. 3, AFL-CIO
SECOND YEAR COMPENSATION CHANGES
It is hereby agreed between designated representatives of the City of
Cupertino and Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3, AFL-CIO that compensation
changes be made for employees and positions of the Public Works Unit in
accordance with Sections 8.1.2 and 9.0 of the Memorandum of Understanding in
effect between these agreeing parties as follows:
1. Wage rates for each classification shall be increased
six and three tenths percent (6.3%) effective July l, 1977
through June 30, 1978.
2. The City shall contribute monthly towards the Health and
Welfare Plan the premium amount or a maximum amount of
$107.00 for each eligible employee, effective July 1, 1977
through June 30, 1978.
It is further agreed that these changes constitute the full and complete
compensation modifications necessary under the Memorandum of Understanding
for the Second Year term of July 1, 1977 through June 30, 1978, and that all
other terms and conditions between the parties remain unchanged.
