CC Resolution No. 4076 ~~`Di ~I~ts`PT~s~ RESOLUTION N0. 4076 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO CALLING FOR GEN~RAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON MARCH 2, 1976 DESIGNATING OFFICES TO BE FILLED, HOURS POLLS WILL OPEN AND CLOSE AND ESTABLISHMENT OF A REGISTER OF APPLICANTS FOR ELECTION OFFICER WHEREAS, March 2, 1976, is the date set by law for general election for three seats on the City Council, and WHEREAS, the City Clerk is enjoined by law to take all steps necessary for the holding of said election; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: i 1. That a general municipal election is called for March 2, 1976; 2. That the polls, which shall be designated at a later date, will open at 7:00 A.M. and close at 8:00 P.M.; 3. That the election shall be~for the:purpose of electing persons to ~ the three City Council seats now occupied by incumbent Councilmembers James E. Jackson, Robert W. Meyers, and Reed Sparks, whose term of office will expire; 4. That the City Clerk be and hereby is authorized to acquire and purchase on behalf of the City any and all supplies and services which in his opinion are necessary to conduct and carry out the election; 5. That the City Clerk be and hereby is authorized to establish a local register of applicants from which appointments as election officers will be made. BE IS FURTHER RESOLVED: , That the City Clerk be.and hereby is authorized and instructed to publish this Resolution as required by law, as a notice calling for a general municipal election. Publication shall be in the Cupertino Courier, a newspaper published in and circulated within the City.
