CC Resolution No. 4046 , • . RESOLUTION N0. 4046 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING MID-DAY BUS ROUTES WHEREAS, the County Transit District has establisfied mid-day bus routes utilizing equipment that would be idle between peak hour demands; and WIiEREAS, the Vallco Fashion Park Regional Shopping Center will be a ma~or traffic generating node; and WHEREAS, said Regional Center will provide sheltered areas for bus passenger activities and transfers; and ~ WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino desires to provide mid-day as well as fixed route bus service to said Regional Center; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cupertino recommends that the mid-day bus routes be modified to conform to Exhibits "A", "B" and "C" attached; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if these changes cannot be accomplished due to a disenfranchising of a substantial numlier of bus patrons on the existing mid-day routes that the City Council of the City of Cupertino recommends that the existing mid-day routes be modified to conform to Exhibits "D" and "E" attached; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that at the time the County Transit District bus system expansion is accomplished that the City Council of the City of Cupertino recommends that the mid-day bus routes be modified to again conform to Exhibits "A", "B" and "C" attached, provided that mid-day bus routes will be retained when such expansion occurs.
