A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF MARCH 5, 1974
WHEREAS, by proceec~ings hereto£ore duly had and taken a General
Municipal Election was held in the City of Cupertino on March 5, 1974;
and,
WHEREAS, the votes thereat (including absentee votes) were received,
cast and canvassed, and the returns thereof ascertained, determined and
declared in all respects as required by law;
NOW, THER~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Cupertino, as foll.ows:
1. The foregoing recitals are, and each of them is, true and
correct and this Council so f inds and determines;
2. The City Clerk be and is hereby instructed to enter this
resolution on the minutes of this Council as a statement of the result
of said .election;
3. The total number of ballots received and cast in the City
(includin~ absentee ballots) at said General Municipal Election was
3,262 ballots;
4. The list of candidates nominated for the office of Councilman at
said General Municipal Election and the names of the candidates which were
set forth in the petition assembled and f iled with the City Clerk,~as
required by law, and the number of votes received and cast in favor of
each of the candidates was as:follotas:

number of votes cast for the office for which each was a candidate and said
persons were thereby elected to sa3d office for the term as prescribed by
law, and the C3Cy Clerk is hereby authorized to sign and deliver thereto a
CerCificate of Election and to administer thereto the Oath of Office prescribed
in the Constitution of the State of California.
