CC Resolution No. 3286 RESOLUTION N0. 3286 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RATIFYING THE PROVISIONS OF A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY AND EMPLOYEES OF THE PUBLIC WORKS UNIT WHEREAS, the Personnel Code of the City of Cupertino provides for representa- tives of the employees of the City of Cupertino and representatives of management of the City of Cupertino to meet and confer in good f aith on matters of employment as permitted by the said Personnel Code; and WHEREAS, members of the Public Works Unit, through their recognized repre- sentative, have requested the City to make certain modifications to various conditions of employment; and WHEREAS, members of City management, through the designated Municipal Employee Relations Officer, have met on more than one occasion with the recognized representatives of the Cupertino City Employees Association, which had been recognized as the Majority Representative for the Pub lic Works Unit, wherein discussions and negotiations were held on the said requests of the employees; and WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the parties thereto, attesting to their mutual agreement as to its contents and provisions, has been submitted to the City Council for ratification and implementation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cupertino does hereby ratify the attached Memorandum of Understanding between the City ~ of Cupertino and the Cupertino City Employees Association representing the employees of the Public Works Unit, which memorandum is dated June 26, 1972. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of this Memorandum of Understanding shall take effect on and after June 28, 1972 and shall be terminated June 30, 1973. The City Manager is hereby directed to implement the provisions of the said Memorandum of Understanding. PASSED AND ADOPTED at an ad~journed regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cupertino on the 26th day of June, 1972.
