I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO EXTEND-
I ING ORDINANCE NO. 791 ESTABLISHING A MORATORIUM
' ON CONVERSION OF APARTMENTS TO CONDOMZNIUMS, AND
DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF.
THE CITY COIINCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Extension. Ordinance No. 791 of the
City of Cupert no, esta is ing a moratorium on conversion
of apartments to condominiums, is hereby extended for a
period of six months commencing on April 21, 1978, and ter-
minatinq on October 21, 1978.
SECTION 2. Ur enc . This ordinance is hereby declared
an urgency measure, an s all be in full force and effect
immediately upon its enactment. The facts constituting such
urgency are as follows:
Ordinance No. 791 will expire on April 21, 1978. The
Planninq Commission is about to submit to the City Council a
proposed condominium conversion ordinance. Failure to extend
Ordinance No. 791 for a sufficient period of time for the
Planninq Coauaission to complete its hearings on the proposed
condominium conversion ordinance, and for the City Council to
hoid the necessr~ry public hearings, and to adopt such an ordi-
nance, would be injurious to the public health, safety, peace,
comfort and general welfare of the City of Cupertino and the
residents therein.
INTRODUCED and ENACTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Cupertino this 3rd day of April ,
1978, by the following vote:
