THE CITSf COiJNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

I There ia hereby added to the Hunicipal Code of the City of Cupertino~
Sectian 5.20.015. vhich is to read as follws:
5.20.015 Prohibited Times.
No person ahall act as a peddler or solicltor of goods or aervicea~ as
defined by thia Chapter, vithin reaidential areas of the City, ben+een the
hours of 9:00 p.m, and 7:00 a.m. of the follocaing day.
Section 5.20.110 of Chapter 5.20 of the Cupertino Hunicipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follrnrs:
5.20.110 Exceptions. With the exception of Sections 5.20.010, 5.20.015
5.20.140 and 5.20.150. the provisions of this chapter shall not apply to:
A. Any peraon-peddling or soliciting eubacriptions for nexepapets or re-
ligioua publicationa;
B. Anq pereon peddling or soliciting on behalf of a religious, charitable
or educational organization;
C. Anq peraon~ if a natural peraon, eoliciting for personal aervices to be
performed by the peraon eo aoliciting;
D._ Any other.person vho is exempt from the provieions of this chapter by
virtue of the Conatitution or etatutes of the United States of America
or the State of California.
Section 5.20.140 of Chapter 5.20 of the Cupertino Hunicipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follavs:
5.20.140 Violation--Penaltq. Any person violating anq of the provisione of
this chapter or knovingly or intentionally miarepreaenting to any officer or em-
ployee of thie City any material fact in procuring the pexmit herein provided for
shall be deemed guilty of an infraction and upon conviction thereof ahall be puniah-
able as provided in Chapter 1.12.
There is hereby added to Che Municipal Code of the City of Cupertino~ Section
5.20.150~ vhich ie to read as followa:
