ORDINANCE N0. 1191
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO EXTENDING TIRE
OF CUPERTINO MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 10.26 PERTAINING
TO REGULATION OF POLICE ALARM SYSTEMS AND DEVICES
AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF
TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO does hereby ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, Chapter 10,26, Regulation of Police Alarm 5ysteme and Devices,
was enacted on the 4th day of December} 1979 and will expire on the 31st day
of August, 1982;
WHEREAS, the Council will review said Chapter for effectiveness and
desires it to stay in effect until such time as completion of this review;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cupertino does ordain
that Chapter 10.26 of the Cupertino Municipal Code shall remain in effect
until December 31, 1982 and that this ordinance shall take effect as an
urgency measure due to the pending expiration date of the current ordinance.
In order to allow for consistency of enforcement and continuation of effort
to reduce the number of false alarms which endanger the public peace, safety
and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Cupertino this ordinance shall
take effect immediately.
