AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO AHENDING SECTION 1
OF ORDINANCE N0. 2 BY PREZONING APPROXIMATELY 6 GROSS
ACRES FROM SANTA CLARA COUNTY R1-lac 20NE TO CITY OF
CUPERTINO R1- 6 ZONE; LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF
STEELING ROAD APPROXIMATELY 150 FT. NORTHERLY OF SHADOW-
' HILL LANE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on .tune 26, 1980. an application was filed by the City of
Cupertino (Ste111ng Road/Rainbow Drive) (Application 34-Z-80) for the pre-
zoning of property from Santa Clara County Al-lac (Agricultural/Residential,
one acre minimum lot size) zone to City of Cupertino R1- 6 (Residential,
Single-family, 6,000 sq. ft. minimum lot size); and
WHEREAS, upon due notice and after one public hearing the Planning Com-
mission recommended to the City Council that the Prezoning 6e granted; and
WHEREAS, the property to be prezoned is presently in a Santa Clara
County Al-lac (Agricultural/Residential. one acre minimum lot size) zone;
and
WHEREAS, a map of the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit
"B" as a proposed amendment to the Master Zoning Map of the City of Cupertino.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the property described in attached Exhibit "A" be
and hereby is prezoned to City of Cupertino R1- 6 (Residential, Single-
family,6,000 sq. ft. minimum lot size) zone; and that Exhibit "B" attached
hereto is made part of the Master Zoning Map of the City of Cupertino.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after its passage.
INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cuper-
tino this 2nd day of September 1980 and ENACTED at a regular meeting

All that certain real property situate in the County of Santa Clara, State'
of California, more particularly described as follow
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Ste111ng Road with the
westerly prolongation of the northerly boundary of Lot 71 as shown on
Tract No.-3028 recorded in Book 150 of Raps at page 32, Sartta Clara County
Records, said corner being a corner of that certain 1.04 square mile an-
exatian to the City of Cupertino entitled "SAN JOSE/CUPERTINO MUNICIPAL
REORGANIZATION";

said line along said annexation "SAN JOSE/CUPERTINO MUNICIPAL REORGANIZATION"
to a corner of said annexation at the inte9rsectlon of said last named
centerline with the westerly prolon~atiocJ of the southerly line bf that
certain parcel of land described in the Deed to San Jose Gospel Pioneers,
Inc., a corporation, recorded July 20, 1960, in Book 4860 of Official
Records, page 70, Santa Clara County Records, said southerly line also
being the northerly line of that certain parcel of land described in the
Deed to Kathleen F. Pollock recorded December 6, 1962, in Book 5818 of
Official Records, page 528, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence along said City limit line described along said westerly prolongation
and along said northerly.line of Kathleen F. Pollock, North 89 38' 19"
East 461.54 feet to a corner of said annexation at the northeast corner of
said parcel described in said Deed to Pollock in the westerly line of Lot
52 as said Lot is shown on the Map for Tract No. 3028 recorded in Book 150
of Maps at page 32, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence along said City limit line described is said annexation along the
westerly lines of Lots 52 through 62 in said Tract No. 3028, South 00°
24' 41", East 597.70 feet to a corner of said annexation at the northeast
corner of Lot 65 in said Tract No. 3028;
Thence along said City limit line described in said annexation along the
northerly lines of Lota 65 through 71 in said Tract No. 3208 and along the
westerly prolongation thereof, South 89° 37' 39" West 461 feat to the point
of beginning.
Containing: 6.3 Acres, more or less.
