CC Resolution No. 99-042RESOLUTION NO. 99- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATIONS TO SANTA CLARA VALLEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDS PURSUANT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE SECTIONS 44225 AND 44241 FOR THE PURPOSE OF VARIOUS PROJECTS; AUTHORIZING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SAME IF THE APPLICATIONS ARE APPROVED BY TO SANTA CLARA VALLEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino is a supporter of clean air and wishes to take actions to enhance air quality within the San Francisco Bay Area; and WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino intends to submit funding applications to Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority for funds pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 44225 and 44241 for the Cupertino Schools Trip Reduction. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. That the Director of Public Works is authorized to submit such applications for the City of Cupertino. 2. That the Director of Public Works is authorized to execute a funding agreement with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority for the purpose of the Homestead Road Arterial Management Project, Cupertino Arterial Management Project, Wolfe Road Bicycle Facility Improvement Project, Miller Avenue Bicycle Facility Improvement Project, San Tomas Aquino- Saratoga Creek Trail Bicycle Facility Improvement Project, and West Stevens Creek Boulevard Bicycle Facility Improvement Project, if said application is approved for funding by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority.
