A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CUPERTINO AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF FUNDING PROPOSALS
AND ACCOUNT TRANSFERS FOR THE 25th (1999-00) PROGRAM YEAR
OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 provides that funds
be made available for the Community Development Block Grant program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to apply for funds under the Urban County
provisions of the Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino understands that it shall receive $15,000 in CDBG
administration funds and approximately $151,543 in discretionary fimds per the Joint Powers
Agreement signed with the County of Santa Clara on July 1, 1996.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Cupertino hereby certifies that
the projects being proposed for funding meet the certifications outlined in Section 570.303 of the
Community Development Block Grant Administrative Regulations; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit the
following project proposals and transfers to the County of Santa Clara:
1999-00 Allocation:
Program Administration: $15,000.00
Public Service Grant Implementation: $8,000.00
CCS - Rotating Shelter: $20,000.00
CCS - Affordable Placement Program $7,374.00
Senior Adults Legal Assistance $5,000.00
(Staff to work with SALA to explore
expanded services to the Cupertino Senior
Center next year.)
Charities Housing Development Corporation $20,000.00
(On the condition that they give priority to
Cupertino residents.)
Urban County Rehabilitation Services $15,000.00
Cupertino Community Services-Hsg. Dev. $76,169.00
Sub-Total: $166,543.00
Affordable Housing Fund:
CCS - Affordable Placement Program $7626.00
Sub-Total: $7,626.00
Transfers:
From CU-94-13 to CCS Housing Dev. $49,330.00
From CU-98-11 to CCS Housing Dev. $96,345.21

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cupertino hereby
authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement for allocation of Twenty-Fifth Program
Year (1999-2000) Community Development Block Grant funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any increases or decreases in the expected allocation
will be made against the Cupertino Community Services-Housing Development line item.
