A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
APPROVING THE CUPERTINO BICYCLE TRANSPORTATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the Bicycle Lane Account provides State funding for projects that improve safety
and convenience for bicycle commuters; and
WHEREAS, a local agency must have a current Bicycle Transportation Plan to be eligible for
Bicycle Lane Account funds; and
WHEREAS, the Cupertino Bicycle Transportation Plan has been prepared by Wilbur Smith
Associates, in conjunction with the Cupertino Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Cupertino Bicycle Transportation Plan complies with California Streets and
Highways Code Section 891.2 and the San Francisco Bay Area Regional Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Cupertino Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee recommends City
Council approval of the Cupertino Bicycle Transportation Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cupertino
hereby approves the Cupertino Bicycle Transportation Plan.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cupertino
this 7~ day of December, 1998, by the following vote:
