Regular Adjourned Meeting
Friday, March 24, 1995
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
At 1:00 p.m., Dean called the meeting to order at the Marianist Center, 22622 Marianist Way,
Cupertino.

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Organizational Overview:
The City Manager distributed an outline of key organizational issues and provided a verbal
briefing.
2. Review 1994/95 Goals:
The City Manager discussed highlights of the 1994/95 City Council Goals Report that had been
di~(xbuted. The City Manager also reviewed the March 20, 1995, report on Additional
Accomplishments.
3. Closed Session:
Council adjourned to a closed session to discuss significant exposure to litigation (Govt. Code
Sec. 54956Co)(1)- Countrywood Homeowners Association and John Vidovich. The City
Attorney and the Community Development Director were present at this session. Council also
met to discuss labor negotiations (Govt. Code Sec. 54957.6) - Personnel evaluation of City
Manager. No action was taken on either of these items.

4. Goal Setting For 1995/96:
The City Council and City Manager established the following list of potential goals for 95/96.
These potential goals will be reviewed with the Department Directors in April, followed by a
report back to the City Council on their reconunendations. These are presented in general
terms pending the recommendations of the Department Directors:

· Budget Process Review
Earlier review and input
Clearer diagrams/charts/tables
Program review/justification/alternatives
· Long Range Fiscal Stability
Assure long range future
Hard look at CIP
· Economic Development
