A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO SELL SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY,
ABANDONED WELL LOT ON GREENLEAF DRIVE, APN 326-41-114
WHEREAS, since the 1960s, the City of Cupertino has owned a well lot on Greenleaf
Drive on APN 326-41-114; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara Valley Water District, the regulatory authority in this case,
has confirmed that the well has been formally destroyed and officially no longer exists; and
WHEREAS, the well on the site has been abandoned by the City and is no longer in
production, so that the property is of no further use to the City, and thus may be considered
surplus; and
WHEREAS, the owners of the adjoining lot at 10500 Castine Avenue have expressed an
interest in purchasing the well lot from the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HEREBY
a. Approves a finding that the abandoned City well lot on Greenleaf Drive on APN
326-41-114 is of no further use to the City and may be considered surplus; and
b. Declares its intention to sell said surplus property; and
c. Authorizes the City Manager to take all necessary associated actions.

Cupertino this 17th day of January 2012, by the following vote:
