The tree proposed for removal is a 100% dead Cinnamomum camphot-a (camphor tree) and is
located at the right rear corner of the property. The tree has a diameter at breast height of
approximately 20in. with an approximate canopy height and spread of 35ft x 30ft. `Ihe tree has
no leaves, no green/live conductive tissue, the bark is peeling away frorn the wood of the larger
branches and therefore I believe this tree should be removed and replaced as soon as possible. A
suitable tree for replacing the camphor would be Arbutus marina (arbutus), Lagerstroemia indica
(crape myrtle) or Acer freemanii `autumn blaze' (flame maple).
