SUBJECT: TREE REMOVAL PERMIT ACTION LETTER (DEAD TREE) — Application TR-2011-64
10325 Vicksburg Drive
This letter confirms the decision of the Director of Community Development, given on September 28,
2011, approving a tree removal permit to remove one (1) 26" diameter Deodar Cedar tree in the front
yard of property located at 10325 Vicksburg Drive with the following conditions:
l. APPROVED PROTECT
The approval is based on a site visit conducted by Planning staff on September 26, 2011 to confirm
that the 26" diameter Deodar Cedar tree is dead within the front yard of the subject property.
2. TREE REPLACEMENT
The applicant shall plant one 36-inch box Camphor tree OR (1) 24-inch box Camphor tree and one
(1) 24 box Birch tree as replacement trees in the front yard of the subject property as shown on

the applicant's proposed tree installation plan. The replacement trees shall be planted within 60
days of this approval.
3. PROTECTED TREE COVENANT
The applicant shall be required to record a covenant recording the replacement tree(s) as a
protected tree within 30 days of planting the replacement trees in accordance with the City's
Protected Trees Ordinance. Failure to do so may result in code enforcement and/or
administrative citations.
4. NOTICE OF FEES DEDICATIONS RESERVATIONS OR OTHER EXACTIONS
The Conditions of Project Approval set forth herein may include certain fees, dedication
requirements, reservation requirements, and other exactions. Pursuant to Government Code
Section 66020(d) (1), these Conditions constitute written notice of a statement of the amount of
such fees, and a description of the dedications, reservations, and other exactions. You are hereby
further notified that the 90-day approval period in which you may protest these fees, dedications,
reservations, and other exactions, pursuant to Government Code Section 66020(a), has begun. If
you fail to file a protest within this 90-day period complying with all of the requirements of
Section 66020, you will be legally barred from later challenging such exactions.

Staff has made the findings necessary to grant the tree removal permit for the dead tree in accordance
with Section 14.18.140B (Exemptions) of the Protected Trees Ordinance.
