CC Resolution No. 98-141RESOLUTION NUMBER 98-14~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS PAYABLE IN THE AMOUNTS AND FROM THE FUNDS AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED FOR SALARIES AND WAGES PAID ON MAY 29, 1998 WHEREAS, the Director of Administrative Services, or their designated representative has certified to the accuracy of the following claims and demands and to the availability of funds for payment hereof; and WHEREAS, the said claims and demands have been audited as required by law; NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby allows the following claims and demands in the amounts and from the funds set forth: GROSS PAYROLL Less Employee Deductions NET PAYROLL Payroll check numbers issued 36442 through 36544 Void check number 36441 CERTIFIED: Director of Administrative Services $278,727.90 $(78.563.98) $200,163.92 Vot~ AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: ATTEST: City Clerk NONE NONE NONE JUNE , 1998, by the following vote: Members of the City Council BURNETT, DEAN, JAMES, STATTON, CHANG Cupenino this 15TH day of PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of RESOLUTION NO. 98-142 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO SETTING DATE FOR CONSIDERATION OF REORGANIZATION OF AREA DESIGNATED "LOMITA AVENUE 98-06", PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF LOMITA AVENUE BETWEEN BYRNE AVENUE AND ORANGE AVENUE; APPROXIMATELY 0.3088 ACRE, SINKSEN (APN 357-15-003) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cupertino has received a request for annexation of territory designated "Lomita Avenue 98-06" from property owners, W. L. Sinksen; and WHEREAS, the property, 0.3088+ acre on the south side of Lomita Avenue between Byme Avenue and Orange Avenue (APN 357-15-003) is contiguous to the City of Cupertino and is within its urban service area; and WHEREAS, annexation would provide for use of City services; and WHEREAS, this territory is uninhabited and was prezoned on May 16, 1983, to City of Cupertino R1-7.5 zone; and WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino, as Lead Agency for environmental review completed an initial study and granted a Negative Declaration for annexation; and WHEREAS, the County Surveyor of Santa Clara county has found the map and description (Exhibits "A" and "B") to be in accordance with Government Code Section 56826, the boundaries to be definite and certain, and the proposal to be in compliance with LAFCO's road annexation policies; and WHEREAS, the fee set by the County of Santa Clara to cover staff cost for above certification has been paid; and WHEREAS, as provided in Government Code Section 56826 the City Council of the City of Cupertino shall be conducting authority for a reorganization including an annexation to the City; and WHEREAS, Government Code Section 56837 provides that if a petition for annexation is signed by all owners of land within the affected territory the City Council may approve or disapprove the annexation without public hearing;
