A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO, COMENDING
THE CUPER.TINO -MONTA VISTA COURIER.
WHEREAS, the City Council in the public interest submitted to the
voters of the City a proposal for the acquisition of the Monta Vista
Water Works and the Alves Water Line: as provided in the Revenue Bond
Act< of 1941; and
WHEREAS, the first election fa to obtain the necessary
majority vote; and
�IEREAS, the City Council believed it be in the public interest
to hold a second election; and
WHEREAS, it was necessary to place before the voters a full
and complete and factual statement of the background, financial
condition, and prospectus of the proposed acquisition; and
WHEREAS, these things were done; and the second election approved
the acquisition by a substantial majority;
NOW, TFEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Cupertino expresses its appreciation to the Cupertino -Monta Vista
Courier for its excellent presentation of all the facts to the voters
of the City in an concerning the matters of the acquisition of the
Monta Vista Water Works and the Alves Water Line.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That - the staff of the said paper be
complimented for its good journalism and its interest in the welfare
of the City.
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED: That tine City Clerk Administrator be and
hereby is instructed to mail a certified copy of the Resolution to the
Cupertino -Monta Vista Courier.
