Subject: D i R-2011-14, (22445 Cupertino Road) Director's Minor Modification to
allow interior addition of 282 square feet and remodeling of the
dining area at the Sunnyview Lutheran Home.
Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative
approval of minor changes in a project. The Director reports his
decision to the City Council and Plannulg Commission in time to
allow an appeal of the decision within fourteen calendar days.
DISCUSSION
The applicant, Charlis Younan of Sunnyview Lutheran Home, LLC, is requesting
approval to remodel and add 282 square feet to the existing dining area. Staff has
determined that the new addition, located in an internal courtyard, will have minimal
visual impact. The new addition will match the existing architecture of the retirement
home and will not create any additional parking demand.
ACTION
The Director of Community Development deems the modification minor and approves
the project based on the attached plan set titled: "Sunnyview: The Arbor" consisting of
three sheets (Sheet Numbers T-1, A-3, A6), dated May 2011, unless as amended by the
conditions of approval of this project.
This approval of the modification is effective July 19, 2011. The fourteen calendar day
appeal period will expire on August 3, 2011.
