Subject: Director's Minor Modification, DIR-2011-07, to allow a 336 square-foot
sunroom addition on the first story of an existing two-story residence located
at 21925 Eaton Pl.
Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative
approval of minor changes in a project. The Director reports his decision
to the City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow an appeal
of the decision within fourteen calendar days.
DISCUSSION
The applicant is requesting a modification of a previously, approved Use Permit, 2-U-94,
to add a 336 square-foot sunroom addition on the first story of an existing two-story
home in a residential Planned Development. Any changes to the exterior or additions
in a residential Planned Development must be approved with a Director's Minor
Modification.
The proposed addition is to the rear of the existing building, will match the principle
dwelling in color (white), will not be visible from the street (Eaton Place), and meets the
intent of the Single-Family Residential Ordinance. The Homeowners Association has
reviewed and approved the application for the addition.
ACTION
The Director of Community Development deems the modification minor and approves
the proposed sunroom addition subject to the attached plan set (Attachment 1).
This approval of the modification is effective March 17, 2011. The fourteen calendar
day appeal period will expire on March 31, 2011.
