Adjourned Regular Meeting
December 15, 1995
ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order at 1:15 p.m. at the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling
Road.
Councilmembers Present: Bumett, Chang, Dean, Sorensen. Coun¢ilmember Bautista was present at

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None
NEW BUSINESS
1. Review of 1995/96 City Council Goals Progress
City Manager Brown reviewed the December 15,1995 update on the City Council 1995/96
goals. After discussion, the following goals were established:
· The Audit Committee will report to City Council with the auditor in February 1996, as
well as at quarterly sessions as needed
· A point person will be identified at each key company for working issues
· Staffwill follow-up on landscaping plans for Freeway I-2g0
· Staff will prepare a proposal for removal of old trees at Varian Park and provision of
new apricot trees for volunteers to plant
· Staff will check on the removal of trees from the REI/PW shopping center
· A follow-up meeting will be scheduled on Economic Development
CLOSED SESSION
I. To consider pending litigation pursuant to Govt. Code Section 54956.9(a) regarding the Dean
Witter litigation update.
Present during the closed session were Charles Kilian, Carol Atwood, Glenn Peterson. The City
Council gave direction to the attorneys on this matter. No public action was taken.

2. Review process for setting 1996/97 City Council Goals:
The council members and city manager discussed Mayor Bumett's memorandum on this
subject. It was decided that local teambuilding/goal setting will be held in January or Febmory
and will be conducted with a facilitator. In the mean time, Council members will work
individually on overall goals and visions, and the next workshop will include more focus on
this.
3. Review process for City Manager evaluation.
The council members and city manager discussed Mayor Bumett's memorandum on this
subject. The City Manager and Mayor Bumett will prepare a possible revision for Council
review in January or February.
ADJOURNMENT
Councilmember Soreusen left at 5 p.m. Mayor Burner adjourned the meeting at 5:15 p.m. The
meeting was adjourned to the next Council meeting to be held at 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 1996.
