1. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS –

2. OLD BUSINESS – Dam Plan draft
Dam Plan – postponed, pending generation of a new inundation map (one month)
from vendor that provides more clear definition of areas impacted.
3. NEW BUSINESS
A. American Medical Response – Bob Cascone
History, services, and capabilities of AMR. Some points were the number of
units and types, move up plan, contractual requirements with EMS and how
Multiple Casualty Incidents are handled. An ambulance mutual aid strike
team is being developed.
B. Spontaneous Volunteer Plan – Marsha Hovey
New countywide Emergency Volunteer Center plan to activate and operate
at the local and regional level. Disaster Volunteer Management Training
June 10 9-Noon in Sunnyvale. Free. Anyone who might be managing
volunteers should attend this training.
Discussion about finding a group to be responsible for this function in the
City’s response. Possible candidates were the Senior Center volunteers or
Marsha to work with Rick Kitson and Alex
the Senior Commission.
Wykoff for coordination. Also draft an invitation letter to skilled
nursing facilities and other critical facilities for invitation to participate
in Disaster Council.

4. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Next Disaster Council meeting attendees to bring their “Go Kit” for
Marsha to send out a list of suggested items.

Santa Clara County Emergency Operation Plan has been approved.
Copies are available on CD through Cupertino OES.
OES Volunteers, Stewart Chessen and Krishi Peddada, are two of this
year’s CREST Award recipients. Ceremony is on May 28 7PM Cupertino
Community Hall.

Safety Fair September 13&14 Rotary is co-sponsoring the event. There
will be three components of the fair Kids Zone, Green Zone and Safety.
