1. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS — Mayor Kris Wang
2. REPORTS
A. OES & Block Leader — submitted in writing (attached)
B. Volunteer Group Reports — No RE!port (CERT, CARES, Neighborhood Watch)
3. Smart Board instructions (30 min) — Ken Ericksen explained functions of the SMART
Board in the EOC. Disaster Council members are encouraged to log in to the system to
practice and /or use for meetings in order to become more familiar with functions.
4. EOC SECTION REPORT(S) or TABLETOP /ROLE PLAY
A. Logistics Section — Roger Lee presented updates to Logistic Section checklists
and discussed them with the group.
5. OLD BUSINESS
A. Dam Plan — Still pending public presE!ritation /comment from Law /PIO
6. NEW BUSINESS
A. Safety Assessment presentation/Exercise Update — Ken Ericksen explained how
the Citizen Corps will go through neighborhoods identifying hazardous conditions and
asks that other organizations coordinate with them to reduce the possibility of multiple
people checking the same areas. Citizen Corps will conduct a drill on August 25.
7. SECTION SPECIFIC SMALL GROUP BREAKOUT DISCUSSIONS
8. ANNOUNCEMENTS — 1) Rick Kitson working to develop standard messages with
AlertSCC. 2) Marsha has small emergency supply kits for sale for $10. 3) California
Emergency Services Association emergency management conference September 14 -17
in Monterey. One day tickets available. Topics show how multiple disciplines work
together to plan, prepare, respond and recover. www.cesa2010.org
