3. EOC SECTION REPORT
A. Planning and Intelligence- Colin Jung presented updates to this Section checklists
and discussed them with the group.
4. PUBLIC INFORMATION REPORT
A Use of social media- Communications Department presented results, lessons
learned and actions to be taken.
- AIertSCC, Robert Kim led a discussion resulting in a list of assignments for
furthering the marketing of AIertSCC. Cupertino currently has about 2% of
residents registered in "Opt -in ". Public Safety Commission (Andy Huang present)
has accepted this task to target schools through CUSD and FUHSD PTAs.
- Twitter, Facebook, 1670AM, City Channel, City's Communications team
presented specific results, observations and next action items. The exercise was
successful with 102 images and 1 video. Some images were geotaged which
along with the image gives the longitude and latitude which helps in locating it on
the map.
B. Santa Clara Emergency Wireless Network- Andrew Brown presented the scope of
this program and gave a demonstration of remote video capability. Cupertino has
installed this wireless network to communicate with all of the other cities EOCs.
There was a conversation about other applications that Cupertino may have.

A. Dam Plan — OES report submitted in writing
B. Report on Incident Reporter and Out of Area Contact test- OES report submitted in
writing
6. NEW BUSINESS
A. Emergency Plan Animal Care Annex - Report submitted in writing stating that it is
ready to be added to the City's Emergency Plan
B. Report on Citywide Exercise- None given .
