CC Resolution No. 6486 RESOLUTION N0. 6486 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OR RE-USE OF VIDEOTAPE AFTER 90 DAYS WHEN THERE IS ANOTHER RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS WHEREAS, legislation has been enacted that excludes videotapes of public proceedings from the Public Records Act of the state of California; and WHEREAS, said legislation requires that such videotapes need be kept only for 90 days when there is another record of proceedings and the legislative body authorizes re-use or destruction of the tapes; and WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino cablecasts certain public meetings and events live and may at a future date wish to tape than. to be shown at other times; and WHEREAS, the City would not wish to keep the videotapes for an indefinite period of time; and WAEREAS, audiotapes and/or written minutes of public meeting are kept as required by the Public Records Act; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cupertino that videotapes made of public meetings and events may be destroyed or re-used after 90 days when there is another record of proceedings.
