To council, Despite repeated requests over the years, we have not had an opportunity to meet with the City Manager. We believe this lack of engagement should be a concern. We want to see this changed and our city government become more transparent, accessible, and responsive to the community. We have already suffered significant losses, including the loss of the property and its belongings on two separate occasions. There were also serious errors involving the property tax assessment, including what appears to have been a double taxation of the property tax base. High five figure each year. In addition, a single filing by the City previously brought our court action to an end, the fact that City were represented by a very large law firm with hundreds of lawyers, we were not. The legal fees we incurred over all these years have not been much, minimal comparing how substantial we paid to the city through property tax and twice permits related to it(city didn't honor), etc., and all have consumed a significant portion of whatever value or gain could reasonably have been obtained from the property, causing debts. This is especially troubling given that the property is not located in a particularly desirable or high-value area of Cupertino. Considering the repeated loss of the property and our belongings, the substantial financial burden we have already endured, and the history of errors and procedural problems, we strongly and urgently request that the authorities stop this continuing prosecution and bring this matter to an end. We respectfully ask for immediate consideration of this request. Regards, Huang family
