Zt® Dillard reviewed tie staff comments noting the criteria set forth in
the sign ordinance and stated that the particular site and sign did not
meet those criteria. Staffs recommendation is for denial of the pied
sign.
Bob Slavik, Manta Vista Associates, explained the need for his tenants to
have OTormum on Stemens Cheek Boulevard. He explained the problems with
C31-'&am fearing and walls which are in place. He showed examples of other
monuments signs in the Monta Vista area with multiple tenant names.
Committee ASember Lavios explained that she felt the site does need a
MUM* sign, but that eight (S) tenant names were to many. She suggested
that the applicant provide more inforcation on the sign diagram and that
the words Stevens Creek Boulevard does not reed to be on the sign and not
repeat the address numbers.
Omdttaee Member Weber agreed that the site needs a monument sign but that
it should just have the center name, the address fi2Wxm and no tenant
rmmm on the sign. He suggested that the sign can be shortened
significantly to acoonmeodate this criteria.
