I am a citizen of the United States. I am over the age of eighteen
years and I am not a party to or interested in the above entitled
matter. I am the Legal Advertising Clerk of the printer and
publisher of the Cupertino Courier, a newspaper published in the
English language in the City of Cupertino, County of Santa Clara,
State of California.
I declare that the Cupertino Courier is a newspaper of general
circulation as defined by the laws of the State of California as
determined by court decree dated November 13, 1956, Case
Number 100637. Said decree states that the Cupertino Courier is
adjudged to be a newspaper of general circulation for the City of
Cupertino, County of Santa Clara and State of California. Said

ON LEASE WITH SAN JOSE WATER COMPANY
TO CONSIDER THE REASONABLENESS OF A
REQUESTED RATE INCREASE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 6,
2016, at 6:45 p.m. the City Council of the City of
Cupertino will consider, under a Lease with
San Jose Water Company, the reasonableness
of an increase in water rates to customers
served by the Cupertino Municipal Water Sys-
tem leased to an Jose Water Company, simi-
11 r to that rate reviewed and authorized by the
California Public Utilities Commission for sys-
tems Owned and operated by San Jose Water
Company in other areas within the City. The
San Jose Water Company requests that, under
the Lease, the Council consider the reasona-
bleness an 8.6% increase retroactive to Janu-
ary 1, 2016, which is equivalent to what the
California Public Utilities Commission author.
