years and I am not a party to or interested in the above entitled
matter. I am the Legal Advertising Clerk of the printer and
publisher of the Cupertino Courier, a newspaper published in the
English language in the City of Cupertino, County of Santa Clara,
State of California.
I declare that the Cupertino Courier is a newspaper of general
circulation as defined by the laws of the State of California as
determined by court decree dated November 13, 1956, Case
Number 100637. Said decree states that the Cupertino Courier is
adjudged to be a newspaper of general circulation for the City of
Cupertino, County of Santa Clara and State of California. Said

FIRST READING ORDINANCE NO. 16-2140
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its meeting of
Tuesday, January 19, 2016, the Cupertino City
Council Enacted Urgency Ordinance No. 16-
2139: "An Interim Urgency Ordinance of the
City Council of the City of Cupertino establish.
ing a moratorium on Medical Marijuana
Dispensaries, Marijuana Cultivation Facilities,
Commercial Cannabis Activities and Medical
Marijuana deliveries within the City of
Cupertino pending completion of an update to
the City's Zoning Code"; and Conducted the
first reading of Ordinance No. 16-2140: "An Or-
dinance of the City Council of the City of
Cupertino amending Section 19.08.030 and add-
ing Chapter 19.98 of Title 19 of the Cunprtinn
commercial Cannabis Activities, and Medical
Marijuana Deliveries." Ayes: Chang,
Vaidhyanathan, Paul, Sinks, Wong. The second
reading is scheduled for Tuesday, February 2,
2016. Council meets at 6:45 p.m., Council Cham-
ber, Cupertino Community Hall, 10350 Torre
Avenue, Cupertino, California. Complete cop-
ies are posted in the Office of the City Clerk.
All interested parties are invited to attend and
be heard. If you wish to challenge the action
of the City Council in court, you may be limited
to raising only those issues you or someone
else raised at the public hearing described in
this notice, or in written correspondence deliv-
ered to the City of Cupertino City Hall at, or pri-
or to, the public hearing.
