Notice is hereby given that the City of Cupertino is accepting applications for one
unscheduled vacancy on the Audit Committee. The vacancy occurred when
Commissioner Hanyan Wu resigned. The remainder term of this vacancy expires on
1/30/2027. The vacancy is open until it is filled. Applications can be submitted via the
Online Audit Committee Application at www.c-Lil2ertino.org/vacancies. For more details,

Eligibility Requirements: The Committee consists of five members. Two individuals are
members of City Council, and a minimum of two and a maximum of three are members
of the public at large. An at large member is not required to be a Cupertino resident, but
the City Council will give priority to individuals who have substantial acco-unting, audit,
or investment experience, preferably in connection with a governmental agency. The
members at large shall not be an official or employee of the City, nor cohabit with as
defined by law, nor be related by blood or marriage to any member of the Committee,
the City Manager or staff person assigned to the Committee.
Powers and Functions (CMC 2.88.100): The Audit Committee is responsible for various
financial oversight functions, including reviewing the annual audit report and
management letter, the Quarterly Treasurer's investment report, and quarterly Fraud,
Waste, and Abuse Program reports. The Committee also evaluates City investment
policies, assesses related internal controls, and reviews internal and external audit
findings. Additionally, the Committee recommends the appointment of internal and
external auditors and advises on budget formatting. Commissioners will need to file
Statements of Economic Interest upon assuming office, annually, and upon leaving office.
Commissioners must take an ethics course every two years.
Meeting Schedule: Regular meetings are held Quarterly on the fourth Monday of the
selected month at 4 p.m. at the Quinlan Community Center Conference Room. For more
