The material listed below is approved for use by the California State Fire Marshall. CSFM Approval No.: F-101310 F-101310 Made with non-combustible elements, this IFR fabric is inherently and permanently flame resistant for the life of the fabric, without the addition of flame-retardant chemicals. This flame resistance will NOT wash out. Rose Brand, however, recommends annual testing of the fabric using the NFPA 705 Field Test method for Textiles, as accumulations of airborne dust and oils may diminish the flame resistance of the fabric. Please allow this report to serve as a summary of our analysis and subsequent findings. System Description: The press riser is fabricated from 12 inch square welded aluminum Mod Truss box truss bolted together at the end plates to form a 60 ft long x 18 ft wide platform which is anchored from below to an existing concrete slab. The floor deck of the press riser consists of 4 ft x 8 ft aluminum framed plywood stage deck panels which sit on top of the Mod Truss. A pipe framed canopy which is 11’-6” high on the highest side is bolted to the Mod Truss which consists of 4 inch diameter x 3/16” thick aluminum pipes which are bolted together at the joints via steel connections fabricated from steel pipe. The aluminum pipes are through-bolted to the steel frame to form a rigid moment connection at the ends of the aluminum pipes. The canopy roof which sits on top of the canopy pipe frame consists of 16mm Opal Multiwall polycarbonate panels clamped to the roof framing. See Figure 1 as well as attached drawings for details of the structure. The structure will be erected temporarily for a period of less than 1 week at a time a few times a year. However, it has been conservatively engineered to withstand the CBC required live, wind and seismic loads for permanent structures for safety reasons. SSE Project No.: 24-0299 Revision: 1 May 6, 2024 SilverScreen Engineers, Inc. 2371 Grand Ave #91629 Long Beach, CA 90809 (818) 741-1310 www.silverscreeneng.com hello@silverscreeneng.com Figure 1: Press Riser with Canopy Roof The riser/canopy combination structure must be structurally adequate to support the floor live loads as well as the wind and seismic forces as required by the CBC [5]. In order to assess the structural adequacy of the system, a model of the structure was created in RISA- 3D, a commercially available structural engineering software program. The 12” square Mod Truss base was modeled as well as the canopy roof framing. In addition to gravity loads, a 30 mph wind was applied to the model in both orthogonal directions. See Figures 3 through 11 for details of the RISA 3D model. Testing was conducted in accordance with NFPA 701-2015, Method 2 - Standard Methods of Fire Tests for Flame Propagation of Textiles and Films for Flat Sheets (See section 13.1.3). This evaluation began July 13, 2017 and ended July 13, 2017. 3 Test Samples 3.1. SAMPLE SELECTION Samples were submitted to Intertek directly from the client. Samples were not independently selected for testing. Samples were received at the Evaluation Center on July 5, 2017 in good condition. 3.2. SAMPLE AND ASSEMBLY DESCRIPTION Sample Name: 502 Sample Description: Polyester yarns coated with PVC flame retardant on both sides and varnished. Weight: 590 g/m2 +/-5% Thickness: 0.47mm +/-10% Polyester 1100 dtex: 28% PVC flame retardant 72% The test specimens were cut into 5.25 in. by 47.75 in. samples by Intertek. All samples were conditioned in an oven at 105˚C ± 3˚C for no less than 1 hour but no more than 3 hours before testing. Test room conditions: 77.3°F and 60% R.H. 4 Testing and Evaluation Methods 4.1. TEST STANDARD 1 Ten specimens of material 5.25 inches by 47.25 inches were cut with their long dimension parallel to the length direction (“with” machine). The test specimens were conditioned to 220- 225°F (105-108°C) for not less than one hour and not more than 3 hours. Specimens were removed from the oven one at a time and tested immediately. The specimens were supported with clips in a three-sided vertical column and exposed to an 11” flame for two minutes. The flame impinged approximately 7 inches on the specimen. No specimen should continue flaming for more than two seconds. Length of char should not exceed 17.1 inches from the bottom edge of the specimen for Flat Sheets (See section 13.1.3). No flaming on floor of apparatus should last longer than two seconds. 4.2. Deviation from Standard Method No deviations from the standard. Sustainability certifications and transparency information can be found under the Sustainability page of our website. For more information, including product warranties, please visit https://www.bentleymills.com. Patterned carpet may require special attention by the installer to assure a suitable match, and must be addressed in the original labor quotation. Repositioning of carpet tiles may be necessary to ensure light or dark lines do not align at the seams. Products that go through the shearing process may result in a small loss of yarn weight. Slight variations in color among different production lots are normal and should be considered in the overall installation plan. Carpet specifications and components are subject to normal manufacturing tolerances and may change without notice. Product warranted in accordance with the terms and conditions of Bentley's standard printed warranty in effect at time product is sold. All other warranties, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed. Made in USA. The fabric or substrate described below meets the minimum requirements of flame resistance established by the following tests:  NFPA 701-2010, TM #1  Calif. Title 19, test #1237.1, small scale  Canada ULC S-109, small & large flame tests  British BS 5867: Part 2: 1980  ASTM E-84 earning a Class I or A rating The material listed below is approved for use by the California State Fire Marshall. CSFM Approval No.: F-101311 Made with non-combustible elements, this IFR fabric is inherently and permanently flame resistant for the life of the fabric, without the addition of flame retardant chemicals. This flame resistance will NOT wash out. Rose Brand, however, recommends annual testing of the fabric using the NFPA 705 Field Test Method for Textiles, as accumulations of airborne dust and oils may diminish the flame resistance of the fabric.
